We do not authorize other sites to solicit donations for DVGRR. DVGRR MENTIONED ON OPRAH On Friday, April 4th, Oprah aired a gut-wrenching expose on puppy mills. The idea for this subject was generated by Bill Smith of Main Line Animal Rescue (MLAR), an all-breed rescue organization in Chester Springs, PA. Main Line Animal Rescue rented a billboard located on the way to Harpo Studios that read: “Oprah – please do a show on puppy mills; the dogs need you.” Oprah responded and the result was the April 4th show. This event will take place on the grounds of DVGRR’s Golden Gateway facility located in beautiful Lancaster County. It is open to all dogs of any breed (including mixed!). Join us for Ryley's Run and Polo's Pledge DVGRR has been named as the primary beneficiary of the east coast Ryley's Run, scheduled for June 7th. Polo 06-045 will be making the trip to Albany NY, along with a group of DVGRR volunteers, to participate. Please help us to help dogs in need by sponsoring Polo as he walks (runs?) in Ryley's Run. Sunday June 22nd at 3 pm - Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, PA. (Click here for directions) This year’s Gala promises to be an elegant event with a cocktail party, a wonderful gourmet buffet and opportunity to bid on some truly unique items. All net proceeds go toward vet and other care-related expenses for our Gateway guests. And this year’s Gala will include not only the popular silent auction items but will also include live auction bidding on a trip to Napa Valley (airfare included). This year’s honorary co-chairs are Governor Ed Rendell and Mr. Pete Musser, both long time DVGRR supporters and adopters.
