GET READY TO BE BLOWN AWAY! As winter winds blow, we are well into our preparations for this year’s Golden Gala.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 15, 2023 as the Gala is certainly the one DVGRR event that you do not want to miss, and we know you’ll be blown away at this year’s event for sure!
Join us as we venture “over the rainbow,” and you can stroll down the Yellow Brick Road for the most sought-after Silent Auction and Raffle items. Our Live Auction is shaping up with some uplifting entries on which you’ll be sure to want to bid.
Plus there will be plenty of games and entertainment before the sit-down dinner is served.
In addition to being a great time to reminisce, catch up with old friends, and meet new ones, the Gala is our premier fundraiser. Each year, we unveil our “fund-a-cause,” and this year we’re focusing on the Sanctuary. As we’re approaching its 10th anniversary, the Sanctuary has served almost 800 dogs. As you can imagine, it has experienced a lot of wear-and-tear, and major renovations are needed.
With the money we raise, we can continue to ensure that “there’s no place like home” for puppy mill survivors and senior dogs in need of second chances!
You’ll want to arrive promptly at 4:00 p.m., as the evening starts off with our ever-growing Silent Auction, along with delicious hors d’ oeuvres, chance raffles, and games. Dinner begins at 6:00, and entertainment will include our very popular and highly competitive Live Auction with exclusive one-of-a-kind items as well as fabulous trips and the chance to feature your DVGRR dog on our annual calendar!
We will also premier a very special movie – a new take on an old favorite that is sure to transport you over the rainbow, where you’ll realize you’re not in Kansas anymore!
In order to make the Gala a blown-away success, we need your help with and are looking for unique items for our auctions! Things like:
Unique experiences, vacation home or timeshares, private dinner or wine/beer tasting party, decorative theme baskets, gourmet food or cooking items/lessons, wine and liquor, home and garden items, outdoor furnishings/décor, professional services (e.g., interior design, cleaning, landscape planning, home improvement), homemade desserts or appetizers, electronics (e.g., iPad/iPod and accessories, laptop or notebook, flat screen television), round of golf, golf clubs or accessories, sporting equipment or autographed sports memorabilia, tickets to sporting events, team clothing, restaurant or hotel gift certificates, theater or concert tickets, wardrobe accessories (e.g., jewelry, scarf, purse), spa gifts, or store gift cards.

RSVP deadline is Monday April 1, 2023. Seating is limited so please be sure to make your reservation early. While formal attire isn’t required, business casual is appreciated and RiverCrest requests no denim. If you are a Golden Circle member, two tickets are included with your membership, so please email Karen (Karen@dvgrr.org) with your meal selections.
