Vesper is a 2-year-old Lab that arrived from another shelter after he’d been found as a stray. This guy is good with staff but has been fearful of new people. However, he’s come a long way since he first arrived at Golden Gateway. It’s taken awhile, but with positive-rewards training, he’s made great progress and continues to do so. While he’s sensitive about handling, he loves going for walks and also loves to play with toys. Vesper will need to go to a home without other dogs and also without children. He’ll do best with an adopter who has experience with rescue dogs and a lot of patience. It may also be best if his adopter would visit him several times at Golden Gateway before taking him home, so he can develop trust.
