Einstein is a 4-year-old Labradoodle that was originally a stray and then dumped on a farm before arriving at Golden Gateway, and he’s been here quite awhile. This guy is very scared of people, and he’s also fearful about being handled. He loves playing with other dogs and needs to go to a home with a mentor dog, but no kids for Einstein. In many ways, he acts like a “normal” dog — plays with other dogs, goes out to potty, eats well. However, it’s taken a very long time to earn his trust, and he needs a long time to warm up to people. He needs an experienced adopter along with a regular routine to help him adjust, and we’d like his potential adopter to visit several times before taking him home. We believe that once he’s in a stable home with a routine (and patient adopter), he’ll make more progress.
NOTE: A portion of Einstein’s adoption fee has been underwritten by a generous supporter.
