Available Dog

Patches, named for her gorgeous patch of black fur, is a 4-year-old Golden that arrived at DVGRR from a puppy mill. She’s very timid and scared of people, but she will allow us to touch her and handle her. She spends a lot of time in her crate and likes to deposit the stuffed toys she carries around in there as well. Patches is starting to go on short leash walks and takes high-value treats from our hands. She’ll need a mentor dog and an experienced dog owner with patience to help her build trust, gain confidence, and overcome her fear of people.
