12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
Mark your calendar!
ExtraGive is an online giving event hosted by the Lancaster County Community Foundation, and we ask you to donate that day through our Extraordinary Give link:
If you need assistance making your donation, please call us at 717-484-4799 or email Karen at email@example.com.
Why Give Extra?
We work tirelessly to make certain that we can say “yes” to every dog possible and give them a “Barkie Award” – the second chance they all deserve. Please help us do that through your generous donation during the ExtraGive!
When you give extra on Nov. 19th, more dogs can win the “Barkie Awards” like:
Bear (formerly Prince): He’s settling in to his adoptive home nicely and enjoying nearly constant attention. He frequently turns or sits to look into his humans’ eyes and is a natural fit in their home.
Sparky and Tesla: They’re all very happy, and their humans have a hard time not giving into their adorable faces and handing out snacks. They had a spa day and now have new collars, matching leashes, and tags.
Boomer: He is a wonderful, sweet dog and has adjusted to his new life very fast. He has the run of the house and sleeps in the bedroom. He’s attached to his humans, is well-trained, and doesn’t beg. His leash manners are good… until he sees a squirrel.
Harry: This guy was a long-time resident at DVGRR, and although his owner had him in the kennel in her home the first day to keep him safe, when she checked on him, he met her at the door, having managed to get the kennel gate off its swing mechanism. A handyman has now ensured that can’t happen again, but Harry’s still lovin’ his new home.
When you donate, you help us earn more of the monies from the “stretch pool.” The stretch pool is $500,000 and is divided up based on the percentage of donations. For example, if DVGRR raises two percent of the total donations that day, we’ll receive two percent of the stretch pool… approximately $10,000 in addition to the direct donations we receive that day! Plus, there’s $50,000 in prizes that are awarded throughout the day, including Golden Tickets during various time slots over the 24 hours that randomly boost a donation by $500.
Golden Ticket Time Slots (Five $500 prizes randomly selected during these times):

As in the past, donations (including covered transaction fees) may qualify for a federal tax deduction to the extent allowed. Receipts for Extraordinary Give donations will come from the Lancaster County Community Foundation, but rest assured, every dollar donated (plus stretch pool money and prizes) will come to DVGRR. If you have any questions about donating or applying your membership during the Extraordinary Give, please contact Karen (firstname.lastname@example.org or 717-484-4799).
