The Groundhogs will be performing a concert benefiting Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue on Saturday May 4th, 2024, from 5-8pm at the Robesonia Furnace grounds located at 430 South Freeman St, Robesonia, PA 19551.
The Groundhogs are a local band (who performed last year on DVGRR grounds under the name FurPlay) consisting of Mike Schwartz (also known for playing with Burning House, the Uptown Band and the Skidmarks), Randy Gartner, Rob Schwartz (also known for playing with the Rockers and Midnite Run) and Heather Hatt (also known for working at DVGRR!) The Groundhogs play a mix of classic rock ranging from the 60s to the 90s including Bad Company, Kiss, Jethro Tull, Billy Squier, Tom Petty, Deep Purple, Fleetwood Mac, Foreigner and even INXS and Hall and Oates!
There is a small pavilion the band will play under with some seating so feel free to bring your own pop- up tents, chairs, coolers with food and drinks (alcohol is ok).
Bagged snacks, soda, and water will be available for purchase.
Dogs are welcome to join along. Leashes are required but no flexi-leashes please.
Also, be aware that the band plays music through a large sound system, so dogs with noise sensitivities may not be appropriate to attend. However, there is plenty of area available to sit back away from the stage.
