Vesper is a handsome black Lab that originally arrived at DVGRR in 2021 from another shelter after being found as a stray. He’d been adopted and in a home for over a year; however, due to his adopter’s medical issues, he’s been returned to us. This 4-year-old has some specific challenges, including “stranger danger,” and it takes him time to adjust to new people. Once he gets to know you and trusts you, he likes petting and going for walks and is a nice companion. Vesper cannot live with nor interact with other pets or children. He knows a lot of obedience skills and is a staff favorite. He’ll need an experienced dog owner who will need to interact with him several times at Golden Gateway before taking him home.
A generous donor has fully underwritten Vesper’s adoption fee.
