WELCOME TO DELAWARE VALLEY GOLDEN RETRIEVER RESCUEDVGRR is a volunteer non-profit group that rescues displaced Golden Retrievers and places them for adoption. Although we operate in much the same way as your local SPCA, we take in only purebred Golden Retrievers. We operate in Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey and have successfully placed over 1600 Golden Retrievers into new homes since 1993.
Donors : Please be prudent when donating on line. Donations to DVGRR should be given to DVGRR ONLY, through our website or direct mail. We do not authorize other sites to solicit donations for DVGRR.

Thinking of Adopting a Golden Retriever?
If so, this is a great time! The number of Goldens available for adoption from DVGRR is growing every day, and vacation schedules are keeping many of our already approved adopters from bringing home a dog at present.
In most cases, we can expedite the adoption application process and, if you are approved, the waiting time to adopt one of our Goldens is shorter than usual. Along with the joy of adding a canine companion to your home, you’ll experience the amazing feeling of having given a displaced Golden Retriever the chance for a new beginning.
To apply online, please see the information on our adoption page.
Please also plan to attend our Adopt-a-Golden Day and Gateway Open House where you can see all our available Goldens in person! Details about this event can be found by clicking here.
If you have questions about the application process, contact us at adoption@dvgrr.org or call Donna Baker, Adoption Manager, at 717-283-6332.
SAVANNAH’S SCRAMBLE 2008, featuring _____________?
Savannah’s Scramble started in 2007 to celebrate Savannah’s (2006-173) adoption into her fur-ever home. Savannah was at Golden Gateway for almost a year before she finally found her family. Savannah wanted to give something back to all the remaining Goldens at DVGRR and to thank everyone at Gateway for helping her to overcome her many fears and what was a horrific “childhood” – thus Savannah’s Scramble was started.

ROAD CLOSED TO DVGRR
A section of Route 897 in Heidelberg Twp. is closed to replace a crossing over the Middle Creek tributary. The work should be finished by the end of August.
