The last 30 years at DVGRR has been one wild ride, so now it’s time to dust off your cowboy boots and 10-gallon hat and join us for our 30th Anniversary Celebration.
This event is open to DVGRR alumni, their canine siblings, and their humans. (All dogs must remain on lead during the event; no flexis. We ask that each dog be handled by one human*.)
We’re hoping to have all the puppies that were born at DVGRR along with their moms attend this event, so we can take a group photo!
Feel free to dress in Western attire, perhaps with a Halloween spin added. Take the opportunity to communicate with fellow adopters on Facebook to plan your group costume to win prizes! Costumes can be your unique creations in keeping with our Western theme or any traditional Halloween costume.
The costume parade begins promptly at 11:30 a.m. with dogs and guests lining up around our Rescue Corral. We’ll award best costume prizes at that time.
Plus, there will be plenty of fun and games as well as food for sale and shopping at Pap’s Place.
This event will be held rain or shine, and we look forward to seeing everyone!
Sponsorships: Sponsorships are a great way to honor or remember canines and humans and show your Golden love and support. Sponsorship deadline is Oct. 15th.
Please RSVP to inza@dvgrr.org by Oct. 15, 2024 with the names of attendees (both canine and human). RSVP is not required but does help with planning the event. Volunteers are also needed to help make the event a success. Please email inza@dvgrr.org if you can help as a volunteer.
* All dogs must remain on lead during the event (no flexis/retractable leashes). For everyone’s safety, we ask that each human handle only a single dog. We’ve had issues with dog fights and injuries as a result of a single person trying to handle multiple dogs. Compliance failure could lead to liability issues and legal expenses for DVGRR. We reserve the right to deny access to any event or activity should an attendee arrive handling more than a single dog.
